atsch i swear the australian jumper has become the cheapest peice of thread in world sport and has been since around the time richard villasanti pulled it on.
He actually had some kind of utility value when he first came to grade, he started in the centres , or may have even been wing, he can play 5/8th, back row, lock etc, he's too slow now for an ouitside back though
Let's not get too ahead of ourselves. 8 seasons in first grade, and he only now has shown some form... When the team is winning. He's just a lazy sook in my opinion. He's been having a stellar season with the occasional stupid snaps, but when they start losing again, expect his form to plummet. Peats is looking good. Is Reynolds a Souths junior WOR?
souths signing the 4th burgess... could be a blessing or a blunder... the bloke is 6ft 5 and 115kg prob the talest player in the NRL with a good season can bulk up more, he will either spend plenty of time on the side lines thro injury or cause alot to other players my guess is he will he will be on the side lines...
All the players now seem intent on slimming down, which is great. I'm sick of seeing 125 kg props run in for 5 min and try to hurt as many backs as possible. Fewer interchanges means players run more, I don't think in a few seasons we'll see many players running above 105-110 kg, which makes for better footy IMO.
Agree with that, but at 6'5, Tom Burgess can afford to play at 115kg as he looks quite athletic like the rest of the Burgess bro's. **** they're a big family. The Burgli's alone could almost outweigh other teams scrums.
Yeah if the other Burgli's were as athletic as Sam... That would be incredible. You guys would have the most envious forward pack going... As it is they are ****ing impressive.
Havent seen anything of Tom in the ESL, perhaps liger can give us some heads up about how he is. Luke Burgess (the older) seems different to Sam, and even George. Luke seems more like your no frills workhorse type prop, while Sam is dynamic, hard hitting and has a great workload. George has been struck dfown with a rare injury, and from what I read on a souths forum, he has lost over 10kgs. A real shame as he was showing impressive signs in the last few games he played. He seems more like a lite Sam in the making. Lite as in quality, definitely not in size. I reckon by the end of 2013, George will be an automatic selection in our firsts and will surpass his brother Luke.
knowing souffs, they will prob be up by a point with 2mins to go then BANG end of the world, and you never get to see them win it from birth to death :rofl
