After a bout with Poland's IBF world champion Tomasz Adamek was called off, Toney is targeting a fight with undefeated Briton Tyson Fury, who also represents Ireland.

Fury picked up the WBO intercontinental title with a knockout victory over Toney's compatriot Vinny Maddalone in England last month to extend his record to 19-0.

That led to talk of a fight with one of the two Klitschko brothers who hold all the main heavyweight belts, however, Toney believed he would be a better opponent for the lanky Fury.

"I would love to fight Tyson Fury. I would travel to England and knock him out."

"I have five years left, I'm in the best shape I have been in 10 years, passed every medical. Look at my record, beaten 10 world champions. Vinny Maddalone was a C-class fighter, let's [url]

While Toney says he will wait and see whether or not Fury will give him a shot, he has a better idea of how to find out who is the best fighter in the heavyweight division.

"We can have a world championship, Olympics style. We can have it in a great city like London, all throw our belts in and see who is best.

"Then after I win I can treat myself to a suit from (one of the famed English tailors on) Savile Row."

Fury will enter the HOF if he beats Toney. Great fight.

He won't be getting a juicy paycheck from channel 5.

I wouldn't mind seeing it just for a laugh in all honesty, the lead up would be the most entertaining part of the fight.

fury would probably win cos toney is 105, but toney will make fury look stupid in the process and probably ruin his confidence.

This is a much better fight than against Price. Fury can beat this ATG and it's better that our boys don't fight each other yet so both get to keep their 0.

The press conferences for an irish traveller vs incoherent trash talking ghetto spastic would be just too awkward.

Toney still has the skills to get inside and land on Fury. Fury certainly wouldn't be able to showboat and "switch hit" against Toney like he has been doing of late.

I doubt they would take this fight although if Fury keeps his discipline and comes in shape then he should take this one seen as though Toney is ancient, completely punch drunk and makes Holyfield look and sound like a well spoken choir boy.

Keeping the 0 is not helping boxing...why hand pick opponents you can beat when surely the idea is to prove you are the best? :nut

Furys work rate would be far too much for Toney now as much as I love watching the fat git fight (i mean JT not Tyson) he is well well past it. He was batted by Lebedev and Fury has looked like he is improving albeit againt has beens without Toneys skill level.

It would almost be interesting - but its too late to be competative

plus Toney is over 40 and doesnt hold a belt so unlikely it would get board approval - although maybe that doesnt mean anything anymore

Probably doesnt mean anything anymore...its a win win situation all round.

Fury gets a name and keeps his 0 with a decent payday
    Toney gets a decent payday
    Casuals will love it
