  3. Peak Roy Jones was too busy roiding and fighting civil servants and police officers to test himself against the best. He was also protecting that Glass Jaw.

A prime Calzaghe embarrasses him, much like a shot, bloated Calzaghe did in his terrific swansong.:deal

When this WANKER realsoulja turns up it's time to leave.

Enjoy posting doctored footage that ignores the facts. How many knockdowns are in the clip? Do we see Veit's trainer trying to stop the fight? No, because all this has been cut. Calzaghe won by stoppage not KO. Thick twats!

Can everyone see Veit's trainer ready to through the towel in?

Look everyone, Veit's trainer is holding the towel. He wants to save his fighter from a beating. It was on a German promotion with an American referee. Joe did the business.

realsoulja thinks Joe should have given up his WBO belt, turned down Lacy and fought Froch for the British title instead.

    What a ****.

It doesn't matter which fighters I pick from his resume. They were never going to get him a shot at someone such as Roy Jones in the late 90's early 2000's. The American audience had hardly seen him fight. I wasn't been disrespectful to those four fighters. But looking good against Woodhall, Brewer, Mitchell, or whoever, wasn't going to land him a big fight.

He needed to showcase his talents to the American public, but he was reluctant to go. He's only got himself to blame. When Joe was at his peak, the 168 division was weak. He had the talent to step up to 175 and make a name for himself, but he chose not too.

He cried many times over the years, saying he wanted the big fights etc, yet he did nothing about getting any of them!

  7. Which is why Hopkins ducked him in 2002? Fact. :smooch

It does yeah, especially when you include who he lost too. Calzaghe however is vastly underrated by pricks like the TS.Have you read the threwad title? Do you agree?

Of course he does you ******!

He struggles with Reid, Bika and Kessler, yet he embarrasses Roy???

    Yeah!!

  10.:lol::rofl Are you off your trolley? Calzaghe beat Reid with a broken hand. Bika is a tough fight for anyone, I'd pick Bika to maul Jones, he already beat Ward only to get robbed. Calzaghe controlled Kessler from round 5 onwards. What fight were you watching?

Jesus H Christ on a bike, these Rojos are delusional.:nut

The first good post I have ever, ever, seen from you comes when I'm giving you a lot of stick. Sorry.

I accept that many people would rate these wins even. I don't. Johnson has fought 22 rounds in the year since Froch and lost 19 of them. Johnson has been outclassed by a former welterweight and was even behind on the cards when he KO Green. Eubank perfrmed better in his 2 fights after Calzaghe, than Johnson did after Froch.

Froch was in his prime against Glen. Joe was not his prime against Eubank.

People discredit Joe's win over Roy Jones because it was not the 'real' Roy. Roy was still world class. Calzaghe deserves credit for thrashing a world class fighter.

    Hi mate,

I read your original post wrong.

I think Joe is underated and overated to be honest. This thread was obviously to bait people, but I agree in some respects.

    Joe was a great fighter!

But his skills didn't match his ambition.

I don't know if you've seen the thread titled "Calzaghe, Jones and Hopkins"? But it's a great thread with some great links and videos on etc.

Joe had the opportunity to travel to the States and make a name for himself, but he was reluctant to do so. He had a great career but it could have been a lot better.

I hate it when people say "He didn't get a break." It's absolute nonsense!

Every other British fiighter went to the U.S. to make a name for themselves apart form Joe. You make your own luck, and he could have had a break if he'd have been more willing.

Naz, Bruno, Hatton, Benn etc etc all went ot the U.S. around the same time as Joe was fighting.

    Regards, Loudon.
