How is Salido ranked higher than Gamboa!

Salido has had like what 5 fights or so since Gamboa's last appearance.

Let's get a retired Margarito on the list he beat the **** out of #3 Martinez.

 

Is that how boxing works? Somebody beats you and they're forever ranked above you no matter what you each go on to do afterward? :think

Because last I checked, Salido is a currently active champion with two defenses while Gamboa doesn't have a belt anymore.

And no Gamboa did not beat the **** out of Salido. It was a very close fight which could have gone either way. Dont let the ridiculous scores you read on boxrec fool you.

 

No it wasn't. Other than a flash knock down in the middle of the fight, Gamboa dominated every second of that fight. He probably should have been DQ'd when he hit Salido when he was down, though.

I had it 112-111 Gamboa, and he's really never been pushed like that.

 

I thought it was a very clear victory but not a shutout or anything. TS needs to put the pipe down too.

Wow like I said boxrec warrior. Do not be swayed by the scores. You do remember Gamboa was also deducted 2 points at the end plus the other point for being KD.

That is a 3 point deficit right there. Also Salido had some very good rounds in that fight as well that made that fight very close. If it wasnt for the 2 point deduction yes it would have been a clear Gamboa win. However going by the scoring is what made this fight much closer.

Maybe because Gamboa hasn't done **** for alomst a year, and Salido has been whooping KTFO everyone put in front of him ever since his encounter with Gamboa...Including the guy who was at the time ranked the best in the division (JML).
