It is incorrect to caution or penalize boxers from GB. :conf

funny how in every fight that wasn't a complete domination of the Brit fighter by their opponent that the brit gets the decision...... even when most people felt their opponent did enough to win....now this wouldn't be bad if it were just a couple instances because judges get **** wrong and see things differently on occasion so a few bad decisions in competitive fights is OK but EVERY single competitive fight a Brit has been in has been awarded to them, there hasn't been a competetive fight that has not gone the brits way. it's pathetic. and to make it worse there were a couple fights the brits weren't even competitive in that they got the W's!

That wasn't a particularly competitive fight, though. :deal

    :good

Even the Londoners in attendance (or traveling contingent of Welsh) knew Selby lost clearly fairly & squarely.

You'd call that a complete domination?

Did I say that? I'd call it a very clear and uncontroversial victory that wasn't exactly super close.

No, you never said that - but my post was replying to te guy who said that Brits have been given the decision in every fight except those that were complete domination. That's why I gave the selby fight last night as an example.

It wasn't a whitewash. Selby fought well, but there wasn't any doubt as to who the better fighter was.

In the case of Evans-Clayton, a case could certainly be made that the wrong fighter went through. I don't think this decision is as rank as a number of others that have been awarded to fighters in this Olympics, but this isn't a clear Evans victory by any means. At best, he was a bit fortunate to slide through after doing absolutely nothing in the last half of the fight.

Except the part you bolded was the part that said:

"now this wouldn't be bad if it were just a couple instances but EVE|RY single competitive fight a Brit has been in has been awarded to them, there hasn't been a competetive fight that has not gone the brits way. it's pathetic."

...and this wasn't a great example of that.

Not a Calzaghe-Lacy domination, no, but neither was it competitive.

I know, I was merely making a point to the guy who said Brits have got the win in every fight other than those that were dominations. That was all.

Just seen I bolded the wrong part.

    Can't we all be friends?
