The guy that was the inspiration for the Rocky movies, the man who was a massive under dog but still knocked down the iconic Muhamed Ali and almost out of the ring.. 35-14 Record Beat guys like Terry Hinke,Charley Polite,Johny Dolan, and the list goes on and on.. He was a real tough guy, who some of today's fighters could learn a thing or 2 from. It must have took some balls to get in the ring with the likes of Ali, Liston and Foreman.
If he fought Ali now he would kick his ass. He was hitting the heavybag and running up the steps really good for an old man.
-I believe only Wepner claims "Rocky" was inspired by him. I do believe Stallone has listed many influences for the character but never stated this himself. -Ali tripped as plain as day.
Yeah I had looked it up,it was most likely inspired by Rocky Graziano, but he still gets the credit lol..
Where have I seen this before? Of course Stallone didn't steal any ideas from Chuck. This content is protected [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Up4xkeNbYbA[/ame]
He is only saying Wepner inspired the Rocky movies because I said it in another thread . . . he left out the part where I told him he stepped on Ali's foot:bart
Saw the movie on Netflix ," the real rocky" Interesting , finally Stallone settled to an undisclosed amount and payed the guy his share.
This guy is a moron. If anything rocky was based on joe frazier who is actually from philly, who actually worked in a slaughterhouse and used the meat as a punching bag.
Reppin NJ hard. He put up a hell of a display of courage not only in the Ali fight, but the Liston and Foreman fights.
