-Povetkin is the one fighter, Holyfield fears. Sports Illustrated: ATLANTIC CITY, NEW JERSEY - A lot of heavyweights such as the Klitschko Brothers, David Haye, and Tomasz Adamek want nothing to do with Alexander Povetkin and his unorthodox interpretation of the sweet science and now the once fearless Warrior Evander Holyfield is one of them. Holyfield wants no part of Povetkin, a crafty Russian who might be the worst opponent outside of Wladimir Klitschko for an old warrior whose reflexes are slipping, declining to face him for his WBA title. Reached for official comment Evander said, "I continue to fight because I believe I can beat everyone out there, except for Alexander Povetkin. That kid is too good. He's better than Tyson ever was." But that never stopped Evander before, Povetkin is something he's never seen before. There's something he sees in Povetkin's eyes that says "stay away from this man, he'll hurt you, he'll hurt you bad like you never been hurt before." This content is protected
That proves that Holyfield is suffering from brain damage. Teddy Atlas has trained both Mike Tyson and Povetkin and he could tell you what a difference.
Boxing 24/7 However, Wladimir apparently has zero interest in fighting Povetkin, according to Klitschko’s manager Bernd Boente. The reasons are as follows: Wladimir attempted twice to fight Povetkin in the past, but both times the fight was cancelled due to irregular bowel movements suffered by Wladimir prior to signing. The ratings for Povetkin’s fight against Chagaev were incredibly high in Germany in comparison to Wladimir’s last fight against David Haye on July 2nd. As close as Wlad will get to the "Beast from the East" Even than, he looks kind of nervous. This content is protected
That is what K2 wants you to believe. Funny, Vitali won't even get in the ring with this cold eyed killer, he would rather call out the lower ranked David Haye.
Ok fair enough, I'm not taking K2's word at Gospel but surely after watching the Huck fight, he can't be that worried?
Who did he fight 2/3 years ago where he had to finnish the fight with one hand? I enjoyed that one. He has greater potential but doesn't reach it.
