Also, interestingly, Froch is 6/0 against southpaws

Part of my wants to say it would be a Ward/Froch II, but Dawson doesn't have the same bulldog mentality of Andre Ward. Dawson would try to stay on the outside all night, Ward stood in the pocket repeatedly.

Froch would be able to get inside and make it ugly from time to time.. The choice of referee would be huge because Dawson would likely look to clinch on several occasions. Still, I say Dawson takes 8 rounds and a decision.

Need to see how Dawson looks against Ward at 168 to make a honest pick.

Froch is a southpaw slayer. 6-0 there is no blueprint

right cause Andre Dirrell and Jermaine Taylor are the epitome of mental toughness

    :patsch:patsch

Dawson is the last guy you want in with your fighter if he cannot handle slickness and athleticism from a bigger man which he can't.

You're crazy son!! Froch was laid out by Jermaine Taylor! Pascal has never been hurt. Now I agree that Froch has an iron chin but Pascals has actually proven to have a better one being that I've never even seen him hurt.

I reserve the right to re-evaluated this one after the ward fight but anyone who has 0 balls and 0 chin gets mother ****ed up by the cobra. Just as all the skill in the world bute.

Dawson easily, he'd never get caught by Froch's slow punches, Froch might win a few rounds from Chad bein lazy tho

why do people keep saying this when dirrell clearly doesn't have a lot of courage yet arguably beat froch?

Dawson has a great chin though, took bombs from G Johnson, Pascal, Adamek, Tarver and other big punching LHW's. certified solid chin:deal:deal

Dawson doesn't have a great chin. He clearly gets affected by most hard shots he gets hit with. Also there were times in the pascal fight when he looked like he was one or two punches away from getting KTOFed.

I do understand your point about Dirrell; however, Dirrell is actually more skilled then Dawson and has much faster more fluid movement. Dawson doesn't have the same mobility and he also seems to have moderate to mild stamina issues at LHW. I can't imagine that they'd get better by him moving down in weight. Dawson also doesn't have great power at LHW, its good, but not great. Moving down might actually help him and if it did then this would be a game changer for him, as his movement isn't good enough to control Froch he would need a big punch to make up for this. If his punch was hard enough to hurt froch the movement and combination punching would be good enough to control the fight. But again we'll have to see how he does at the weight before making a final judgement.

There's a part of me that feels that if Froch could win a few rounds that would really be all he needs to KO dawson. Kinda like the Bute fight.

People forgetting the war Froch had with Kessler? I'd bank on a Dawson UD.
