Seems a natural match to me , can't understand why gallagher would turn it down? Easily winnable fight for Murray.

joe is his trainer not his manager or promoter he doesnt decide who murray fights he just trains him for the fights. id like to see it happen id fancy murray for a late stoppage to early in scotts comeback imo

Even if the money isnt what they want the incentive for a big fight afterwards should be enough. I know people think scott would win but murray has to fancy his chances against him considering the amount of time scott has been out the ring. Stupid decision really!

It could well be that Gallacher knows John has been in party mode for a good while and would need more time to get fit and his weight down.

Gallagher has to much control over his fighters. he is a trainer not a manager.

Yeah I heard the other week that the fight wasnt on and contracts werent signed and they probably wouldnt be, then it all sounded like it was happening again but i asked about last night and heard contracts werent signed and perhaps there were other irons in the fire for both guys. Who knows, but I would love to see Murray vs Harrison on the Burns vs Mitchell card, what a card that would have been

That is one of the most stupid things I have heard, he might not be a manager but it is the trainer that works with the fighter everyday, he should know his strengths and weaknesses, therefore should be involved in the matchmaking by constant contact with the manager. This would ensure the boxer is being looked after properly by the person that he should trust the most, his coach!!!

Imo too many managers take silly fights for their boxers by not getting the opinion of the coaches and end up with stupid losses early in their careers.

Broner is in a new fighthype video saying he expects Burns to run away to 140 next to avoid him.
I would like nothing more then to see Broners mouth shut, but im not sure Ricky is the man to do it.
