Re-watching Chad Dawson v Jean Pascal, it changed my mind

If you think Ward is weak or a chicken, you don't know anything about boxing man.

He manhandled Froch on the inside, watch that fight again, Ward is very strong at 168lbs, he was stronger than both Froch and Kessler.

 

Suure...not problem..

Ward was raggedy as hell in the last round against Froch....

Falling into clinches with his chin up....hmmmm

 

Froch looked stronger in the last round...Ward was holding and playing keep-away..

Froch knew he was losing the fight big and had to do something, Ward just did what was most safe to do in order to win the fight.

 

You know you're saying Ward does not have the boxing ability to box Dawson, right?

You also know that Dawson was never an elite amateur star, whereas Ward was not just elite, but he dominated everyone.

 

It may not be what it was, but its still a fairly good measure stick of how boxers will turn out. Not always the case, but Andre Ward is the type of guy who finds a way to win, regardless.. Chad Dawson is a guy who every now and then finds a way to lose against inferior boxers, this time he'll be in with a superior boxer.

We shall see how he performs, my guess is he's gonna get figured out and beaten on points. Ward is just too good.

 

Dawson lost 1 fight by technical decision...how do you figure he finds ways to lose against inferior boxers?

 

Ward will win this fight at points. Dawson is a talented fighter , highly skilled and speedy but he hasn't what Ward has i.e mental strenght and good ring IQ.

Ward will go for an rough-inside game plan attack against Dawson. Eventually Dawson's psychic will break down and then Ward will take him.

 

Take the Johnson I and Pascal fights as rough examples of how a superior boxer somehow falls down to his opponents level and gets roughed up.

Ward excells where Dawson does not, this fight will have to bring out Dawsons best, where we know Ward will already perform at his best. Easy choice for me.

Dawson has skills, but Ward is technically superior and will make him pay on the inside. Intriguing fight but clear UD for Ward.

 

dawson needs to rough him up. body punches, head punches, arm punches, wild storm. he gonne miss a lot, but if that doesnt frustrate him and he keeps going on he gonne land some and his punches are hard, excpecially for a phyiscal smaller super middleweight.

if I had to put money on it, than it's dawson for me who is going to win.
