:rofl yes it does matter anybody else think that last round was level? We have killed amateur boxing in the UK with the scoring at this olympics... what kid in their right mind would make the sacrifices needed to become a top amateur boxer knowing full well that the judges at the top level are incompetent and you are most likely not going to get what you deserve and people think it is ok to justify it with "close could have gone either way"...
A KD means nothing in amateur boxing. Apart frm maybe giving you a psychological boost. it does nothing on the score cards. Counts the same as a jab that lands flush
She did but the Olympics is like the eurovision song contest in my opinion, the scoring is a joke and the whole event should be seen as a joke.
I watched the Katie Taylor fight on a crap stream. Looked seriously close. I thought Katie looked hurt in the final round. Am I right in thinking it could have gone either way.
U clearly have no.idea about amateur boxing if u think a knockdown means anymore than 1 point. I thought the last round was level. I don't even know how the Russian got 8 points in the whole fight, she didn't want to fight and hardly threw shots.
I know that but i am wondering if they even counted the punch that put her down. scoring that final round level was a disgrace
I know that but regardless, it should have been scored a KD. also If you thought that last round was level then you clearly have no idea about scoring in amateur boxing.
Seemed fairly even. Katie got a couple of points in the first 30 seconds, then retreated, Russian came at her maybe got 3 or 4 with katie getting 1 or 2 counter punches. If if u think that round was some sort of robbery you should probably find another sport.
you are obviously a wind up :rofl I never said the word "robbery" did I? I said it was badly scored and it was. you obviously make things up to suit your own opinion like scoring that last round even. Watch that last round again and come back and tell me that was an even last round. and do not come out with the same old bollocks "could have gone either way" that scoring system should mean contests should be scored on punches landed and the russian clearly outscored Taylor in that last round.
