Just thought I'd let you all know great it is to watch every GB fight I want at the olympics and get paid to do it. The hours are usually about 15 a day but It's so exciting I'm not even tired at the end... if anyone is coming for the finals in the following days I'm at entrance 305 usually. Say hello - I'll try and sort you out. Today I was working close to Steve Bunce at 318... it was MENTAL. I was even a little rude to Kate Middleton when she went by me for walking to slow when it was busy... but she isn't a real boxing fan so sod her. :good
This isn't a look at me 'post'... I think you mean thread, and if that's what you mean... then that would be my shitting in the dark thread - or my chuck Norris man or myth thread. :deal
Nice one Ben! :good. I know someone who's doing security in the pit at Olympic Stadium and is loving it. The atmosphere today at Excel sounded amazing, wait till the next few days going to be unreal!!. Enjoy it and keep getting the £££ in at same time :yep..
thought it was mostly volunteer work at Olympics, my mates bird is doing exactly what your doing but in the main stadium
Cool stuff, Ben. I know a few lads who set the whole thing up. By that i mean the construction of the venues and the opening/closing ceremony. One of my mates did/is doing work for Showforce, one of the main companies for that sort of thing.
Cheers fellas. I'm working for knights and sons. There are alot of volunteers who practically do what we do but just don't get paid... but most of them usually seem to do a better job than the paid staff in all truth - so make of that what you want?
sounds great. Wish I could of went over, applied for tickets last year and didnt get any. Do you get to see most of the action in the ring?
