Not bad. Though Wee Willie Davies beat THREE of the top 10 flyweights. He should have made the list.

Monzon over Greb? Not in my book. Not by a mile.

I think that Greb's actual MW resume is inferior to his LHW one.

I love that we have these surveys. Hopefully we can do it again in a few years and see what the what is.

I don't think I'd be inclined to revisit this more than once every ten years, minimum!

While I am extremely glad we had so many knowledgeable and willing participants, and I am very glad now that we have a complete record of what our views were, that whole endeavor wound up being far more time consuming than my dumb ass envisioned prior to start!

That said, depending on what hand life has dealt me at that point, it is something I'd be interested in seeing for compare/contrast purposes.

Any news on whether a survey will be done for the additional modern weight classes?

    Not at this time.

I was considering it, and ran the idea by McGrain actually.

Some day I will probably get around to that, but I have several projects going on currently, and taking on one of that caliber is quite the commitment.

That said, I *AM* interested in doing more surveys of a different variety. So it's kind of a one and done deal, that I can undergo when time is more permitting.

I am thinking of beginning one soon, and I'd quite like some input for a topic.

The one that seems most interesting to me revolves around the 10 greatest matches, or 10 historically most significant bouts, or 10 "best" championship fights in history.

I'm not sure how specific or general it should be, and the qualifiers may well change the entire realm of perception for everyone.

Other ideas for possible future surveys off the top of my head, Biggest Upset, Most Charismatic Boxers, Best Trainers, Historically Significant Venues, etc.

I mean there are a million directions we could go with this. I'm inclined to start the next one in a week and have it revolve around the theme I first touched on.

But I am more than open to suggestions! In fact, I'd quite like some feedback from the people who will be helping significantly with their great contributions.

So if anyone has any ideas on what type of survey would interest them most (along the same lines and scoring parameters of the Original 8 + P4P), please let me know.

I'd like to start tackling one every few months or so, one-on, one-off.

Maybe in a year or 2, we can delve into the additional classes! In fact, I'm sure I want to do that. Just not now!

Possibly. But the MWs on his resume still far outstrip anyone on Monzon's. From where I sit anyway :smoke

    Mickey Walker
    Mike Gibbons
    Jeff Smith
    Eddie McGoorty
    George Chip
    Leo Houck
    etc...etc...etc...

I don't think there is that much etc. though. I prefer Monzon's championship dominance personally.

Slow down a bit on those suggestions, guys!

I can only read one at a time.
