    Fedor
    Nogueira
    Cro Cop
    Junior Dos Santos
    Josh Barnett
    Randy Couture
    Pedro Rizzo
    Fabricio Werdum
    Cain Velasquez
    Igor Vovchanchyn

I just threw out to first 10 names to come to mind. That is roughly the correct order. This list is not set in stone. I may alter it after some debate. I like to do my rankings with a bit of discussion, because it makes me feel more secure about where I've placed them.

    Fedor
    Nogueira
    Cro Cop
    JDS
    Josh
    Randy
    Werdum
    Murr

Stumped on the last two...Cant decide how high to rank old timers like Rutten, Coleman, Igor ect as opposed to guys like Timmy, Reem, Cain...

It gets tough. I just threw Igor out there, but he probably belongs in a pioneer group more than he does my current mma list. Lesnar also makes things a little difficult. Mir has been around a while, but I believe that Lesnar and Carwin have proven to be better. Lesnar also holds a win over Carwin.

I'm also starting to doubt my Werdum ranking. I'm starting to wonder if I'm factoring how good I think he has become recently as opposed to how much he has really done. I thought he beat Overeem, but I'm not overly impressed with Overeem's mma accomplishments. I thought the Bigfoot fight could have gone either way. He definitely didn't look like he was any better of a fighter than Bigfoot the night the faced each other. Werdum has a huge win over Fedor, but is that enough to carry him high on an all time great list?

I think a lot of people don't know/have forgotten him. Rizzo accomplished a lot and I believe he is unknown to many of the new fans. Maybe I will start a thread about him.

Well Josh is on the probably based on his Nog & Randy wins. Werdum beat Fedor and has as many comprable B-level wins s Josh. Id have no problem with putting him in there. Maybe after this generations round robin is over in a few years he wont place so high, but for now his resume is the second strongest in MMA imo

Is Fedor the universal choice at #1?

How can you count Barnett's win over Randy?

Yeah, it's just like that. :-(

Cro Cop beat Herring, Vovchanchyn, Randleman, Coleman, Aleks Emelianenko, and Josh Barnett. Make that 3-0 against Barnett, who makes a lot of people's all time top 5. Cro Cop stopped Wanderlei and Barnett on the same night.

I wish the beave would stay away. Go do some research and come back when you have something to offer.

Because they fought and we have the result. A result that wasn't overturned by an athletic commission. I've seen commissions overturn fight results over marijuana, and they left this one alone.

Am I supposed to discount any of Couture's wins, or do I just look the other way because his dealer has a better education?

In all seriousness, I wish fighters would not cheat. I just don't see this being the reality, though. Many fighters have cheated, still cheat, and with all this trt stuff; it appears they can do it with medical clearance.

Anyway Rek...the top ten, slept on it and still cant place my last two. Thought about Brock a little, cant really put him in there for beating Randy after his lay off, Herrings run going into it was ****, but a good win for a rookie non the less, that leaves Murr and Carwin, just cant do it. There's probably justification that the injury too away his strength, but based on the pre-illness performances Im not sure he'd win against Cain, probably Reem too. And Murr was coming back form a motorcycle accident anyway...hmmm
