Its the continuing agenda of GB that they refuse to showcase their winning counterparts. Bad showing of sportmanship.

There will be a midday intermission and then it's the rest of the semis (fly, light, welter, light heavy, super heavy) at 3:30pm EST/8:30pm UK.

David Rudisha won the 800m in a world record time last night in what was the performance of the whole olympics across all the sports for most people.

now i have the Irish Star on my lap, and ****ed if I can find any mention of it at all...

    Take your blinkers off mate.

Big difference between boxing and the 800 metre finale in terms of global media coverage.

    Not really.

800m is widely regarded as the toughest of the track events and is very popular globally. I would say much much more than amateur boxing, and certainly more than womens amateur boxing.

You're right. Far more attention is paid to the racing.

Shiming has looked tired in several fights I think. This one too. Doesn't throw many punches after a few minutes.

Even 3-3, and 11-8 to Shiming.

Shiming is only going to war in spurts, but he's neutralizing Barnes effectively enough with his quick orbits and falling in with big punches to hold and push. Not pretty, but sound strategy.
