why do you post a picture of yourself about to cry? Anyways.

fair enough, for you the SMW division started out vast at its inception, and has since grown smaller and smaller, going against the grain of every other division in every other sport in history that has grown since its inception - good luck with that belief.

obviously i wont debate your belief with you further, so you owned me there.

Nope, it's a picture that illustrates you moaning like a little *****

Nope, try again idiot, I stated it became strong not long after it's inception. Your comprehension skills are clearly as bad as your knowledge of boxing

Nope, wrong again. I stated era's come and go. Like the HW division was stronger in the 90's than it is today, doesn't mean that the division isn't any less great. Same with the SMW division, just because it's a weaker era today, doesn't mean the division has lost it's prestige. As I stated, there was a big tournament in the SMW division recently (Super Six).

Of course you tried to state that no top fighters wanted to compete there, and you were proved wrong by the list of top fighters that I listed.

berolpee makes an idiot out of himself yet again.

LOL, Oh yes, Europeans had there little playground called the SMW division. On this side of the Atlantic no one gave a **** about it. I studied up on those guys and they were solid fighters but it was limited to Britain . . . more of a regional belt.

Nobody cared about the Cruisers until Deleon came along . . . there were solid fighters before him.

I see you did not answer my question about the WBO

Like said to Hatton the SMW was more of a regional belt back in the day. Very few people took it seriously. Yes, everyone you list was solid but more money could have been made north and south of the division if they crossed the Atlantic. However, Joe to the safest and easiest rout to make money. He did not have the confidence to come to North America to make the really big money. The North American public would have love Joe, good personality, not an ugly mother****er, and a decent boxer. He did not believe in himself enough to take that challenge.

When I fans in my area started to follow the SMW division I rememeber a conversation we had about what a stupid f'n division, it only watered down the talent pool for MW and LHW. if it never existed could you imagine the fights that would have been made?

I guess the same could be said for Ward today, because the big money is in Europe for the SMW division. However, if he wants to move up to LHW someday he best course it to try and become marketable for the HBO and Showtime . . . etc.

The main thing we all have to keep in mind is that this a sport but it is also a business. a fighter has to do whatever he can to maximize his income for the limited amount of time he is in the ring. Pac could have fought exclusively in south east asia and made a **** load of money but by coming to North America he made about 1000 times more. Joe could have double his Income coming here but for what ever reason he declined. But hell it was his choice, he made a **** load of bucks, but do not come here and preach how great he was when he did not have the balls to maximize his income. From what I hear from his fans on these threads he would have no problem doing it:bart

I am not a yank:lol: . . . it was what it was. Bigger money was on this side of the Atlantic in the MW and LHW division . . . that is all that really matters at the end of the day:bart

Do you know what the word regional means ? Can you explain why for example Nigel Benn went from beating the **** out of yanks on their home turf at 160 to this so called shitty regional weight division ? Why the **** would he do that when he had already made his name on both sides of the pond?
