Didn't Miguel Cotto Already Turn Down a pacquiao Catchweight Rematch Last Year?

according to Cotto he got a better offer to fight Mayweather at his weight but iI do believe Cotto can fight at 150 more comfortable than 154 maybe even 147

Younger and emotionally vested? I'll give you younger, but the only other words you should be using to describe me in comparison to you, is 'intelligent' and 'clear minded.' Below is why.

Yes Sir, the DLH fight was Oscar's own un-doing and a means of not having to fight Antonio Margarito. Pacquaio's weight in the David Diaz fight convinced them that they could fight well at WW.

The stuff about Mosley is not irrelevant. Mosley was ranked at the #1 WW following his destruction of Margarito. Miguel Cotto was generally considered damaged goods. (Pacquaio - Cotto 24/7, Opening verse : 'A victory over Pacquaio, will silence whispers that Margarito took something out of Cotto, that he can never get back.') It was NOT the same Miguel Cotto who narrowly beat Shane Mosley. Remember that Bob Arum promotes both fighters, and is aware that there is more money to be made from Pacquaio. Now, Arum has seen Cotto get brutalised by Margo, and roughed up by Joshua Clottey. He knows that Cotto has jettisoned Envangalista, and has hired a guy who is not a proper Boxing coach. Basically, Bob Arum knows that this is not a peak Miguel Cotto. It's a Miguel Cotto who is there for the taking.

Pacquaio agrees to fight Cotto at 145, and flat out refuses to fight Shane Mosley at anything higher than 142, once Shane has admitted he can't make that weight.

Now let's consider the 145lb catchweight. I don't think Cotto was drained. So if a catchweight won't drain the bigger fighter, what is the point? People don't realise that the purpose of alot of catchweights is to change the focus of an opponent's training. Cotto trained to make 145, he did not train to fight Manny Pacquaio. That was the purpose of 145lbs. They did the same thing with Antonio Margarito.

Next you site fighters who didn't fight the best fighter in that division, during their first fight at the weight. Newsflash for you sweetheart, Pac had tested the waters against Oscar, and he didn't look half bad, did he. :patsch

It's really not that entertaining, having to simplify things for you.

I don't see it mentioned as much as it should be.

'It's only a few pounds, it'll mean nothing.'

It looks more like you're simplifying them for your benefit. THis is just another side of the same coin, except between us, I'm the only one aware. LIke I said, Pac was under no obligation to face Shane right off the bat at WW. MANY fighters move up and don't do that. Yet you only ***** about Pac doing it? And Do I really need to expain the catchweight to you too? You are aware what weghts PAc spent his majority at aren't You? It's not like he started at 135 and moved up naturally. He was moving up for bigger fights, while STILL the smaller guy. Simplify that all you want. :good

He is telling the truth. Wether it benefits "him" not doesn't matter. His point is much more clear and has much more to claim than what your saying.

This is why you lose in just about every thread for 25,000 plus posts.

He ate what your trying to say up!:rofl

:patsch Like I said **** off troll. You should be on a cheerleader or TMZ gossip board. You'll kiss the ass of ANY poster who likes Floyd. Idiots like you make a big fuss over things that really aren't important. That's what small minded alt account users like you do.
