    He's poor.

A sign of American desperation to re-gain a foot hold in the HW division.

He's Mr 24-0, 24 KOs, 15 in the first two rounds and all inside four rounds or less. And he's an Olympic Medal winner!!!Not to mention that he3 is 6 ft 7 in tall...

He's on his way up. No one has seriously said he's a world beater at this point. He is a prospect, which is good for the heavyweight division and good for boxing. I don't recall the heavyweight division having so many up and comers from all over the world anytime recently. It's a good thing. That includes Wilder getting some press.

His last win was better then the cab drivers he's been fighting. Not a huge step up, but a step up nonetheless.

    Stop being a dick.

Shut up. Wilder's hype grows way faster than his almost non-existent boxing achievements and you're the one contributing to this discrepancy.

He gat to get a good manager and trainer. I would propose GBP or Top Rank Inc. and if Shelly Finkell is available or a Duva and then obviously someone like Barry Hunter. We're just talking, Jack, relax baby... Oh and he's 6ft7in btw...

    This.

But IMO, he will probably be the undisputed HW champ in 2 years. He only has to get past David Price. Wlad will duck him, or retire to avoid him.

He doesn't have a glass chin, only idiots think this. He doesn't really even have "holes in his defense." His defense looks quite good, actually, except for one glaring exception: Sometimes he over-commits with his head when he throws that devastating OH right. If it lands, fine, fight over, but if it misses, a really good counter-puncher will have a wide-open target.

THAT'S the problem with fighting only bums. You aren't forced to corect your faults, and they become ingrained in your muscle-memory. Boytsov is suffering from this same thing.

Several things are absolutely true about Wilder:

1: He has (arguably) the most powerful right hand in the sport, including Wlad. (even Manny Steward thinks so.) And his left 'aint chopped liver, either.

2: He is bloody fast for a heavyweight. Sometimes he looks like a larger version of Mayweather.

3: He has that elusive killer instinct.

4: Wilder gets better with every fight. For a guy that works a fulltime day job, and who only fought in the ams for 2 years, his progress is exceptional. He obviously has a strong work ethic.

5: He is COMPLETELY unproven. As with Lucien Bute, it is impossible to know how he'll react when a really good fighter actually fights back. Both his defense and his HEART have yet to be tested. At all.

Check yourself douchetard. I'm a pretty objective guy. I have been talking about and interested in Wilder since he won a bronze medal. It's not hype, let me reiterate, no one said he is a world beater. He's a prospect.

Anybody who says he's a can is dumb as well as anybody who says he's a future champ is dumb.

Uh, he is ALREADY managed by Shelly Finkell, and promoted by GBP !

(not that they seem to be doing much for him.)

No one said he's a future champ. I personally said he MAY be the future champ. He certainly has the offensive tools, and he seems to have the smarts and the work ethic.

Anyone who watches Wilder's last 4-5 fights, and can't see the serious potential, DKSAB.
