Is Phoney a step up from Maddalone?

I don't mind Toney earning a living, but can't he fight the Abells and the Maddalone's himself. I mean Brian Minto is still fighting, and Rob Caloway is as well. Nothing worng with a Damon Reed rematch. Let the guy take some fights vs glorified clubfighters where he can earn a buck fighting in their backyard.

Fury is waaaaayyy to strong and long for Toney. Ledbedev was able to potshot him for 12.....imagine Fury, using his new jab....man this is gonna be ugly.

I dont want to see Toney get KTFO, but if he takes this fight and accidentally hurts Fury, then Tysons gonna give him the what for until Toney is declared unfit to continue.:-(

Malik Scott would be a perfect fight for JT. It would be a huge win for Scott, be a decent payday for both of em, and Toney would last the distance since Scott aint carrying the kind of power to cripple the old fart.

Chuancey Welliver would be another good one for James. And win for Toney over either of these guys gets him a payday vs the likes of Potevtkin or even Haye.:think

I am not convinced Fury can stop Toney. Fury isn't exactly Foreman with those punches. He tends to slap a little although he has a good left hook to the body.

High Risk Low Reward for sure. Toney is 5ft.9 and Fury is about 6ft.9. This is gonna be a strange event. If Fury loses,he will be set back 2 years at least.

I sort of feel the same way with this one as I did with Mosley-Canelo. I knew it would probably be his last shot and I really just hoped that Shane would do his best to peak on fight night and put himself in a position to be competitive. Well, Shane did the best he could despite getting clobbered. Let's hope Toney does the same so he doesn't embarrass himself or the fans that stuck with him every step of the way...including those who thought he actually had a shot to win against Couture.
