So it has been a full month since the 'big announcement' on Cleverly's next foe. No news at all, no press quotes, I am assuming Shumenov and Hopkins are going to tussle and Cleverly is going to fight another WBO bum?

I don't think Cleverly's fussed if he fights or not, I don't think his hearts in the sport 100%

I honestly don't care much about Cleverly now. I considered him one of our best prospects, which he still is of course, but I hate this attitude that he and others have got about getting a fast track to a world title. In my opinion once you're a champion that's it, you should be willing to fight the best. Yet he, and others I must say, are almost learning on the job still and seem afraid to step it up and take on challenges which should be a pre-requsite for a World Champion.

His opposition including Krasniqi even though that didn't happen has been pretty woeful for a so called champion. Even his best opponent, Bellew, whilst undoubtedly an equal of Cleverly in terms of ability hadn't really done anything to get a World title shot. Plus the close nature of that fight (I had Bellew winning by 2), should really have led to an immediate rematch. I enjoyed the fight don't get me wrong but it's not really how it should work IMO.

The talk has been of a Shumenov fight and that would be great but until it happens I wish he and his promoter would keep their mouths shut about all the big names they're coming after as the evidence up to now doesn't point to that at all.

Well when someone says they want out of the sport soon when they've only just got a world title handed to them you do question one's desire for the sport.

Oh well we do have one LHW who loves the sport...

    WAR BELLEW!!.

Not only does Bellew have a better attitude and more dedication, he is also the better fighter imo, and I don't care what the records show he won that fight, I had him by one round but it could easily been 2 or at a push 3, when he doubled up on his jab Cleverly was mostly clueless in what to do, if it wasn't for his chin and engine it wouldn't have been remotely close.

I said to a Welsh lad sat behind me that Cleverly needed a knockout.... they were all shitting themselves too.

The way Clev hasn't improved since the Murat fight is both frustrating and annoying. The ''fight'' with Sugar Tommy Karpency was depressing, Haskins/Broadhurst-esque.

Not sure why that match was made, the only thing Karpency had was having never been laid out.... hmm, great reasoning there.

He wasn't coming off an impressive win or was overrated with a pretty looking record.

He'd never beaten anyone with a pulse and has two defeats to bus drivers. Waste of ****ing time.

Enzo Mac has only a few months left of his ban, does anybody here doubt that fights being lined up?

If he fights Enzo at any point now whilst a world champion, I'd consider it as bad as the Karpency fight.

Agreed, Im not sure who would win out of Karpency and Enzo tbh, that's how far Enzo has fallen.
