Firstly do you know how the fights are scored?
and secondly, were you counting the scoring punches and keeping score as the fight went on?

I think people are being swayed by a boxer landing a few punches in the last 30 seconds of rounds.

Let's take a wild guess here and suggest that you may possibly be British ?

Yes I am, and I think the main reason for people disagreeing with results is because they are not scoring the fights as they happen, I'm going to take a wild guess and say you don't know how they are scored.

The way I understand it the 5 judges all have 1 second to register a punch electronically and a majority of them have to register that punch for it to count as a point. This is why single punches and not combinations have been a more effective strategy. Am I right?

No, you are not correct, that system is no longer used.

I haven't seen a single comment from anyone who is aware of how it is done

Where did you look it up? It must have been an outdated source

Are you talking about 'similar scoring' or how they count the points in the first place?

Here is all you need to know about Olympic Boxing and Scoring:

Audley Harrison is a Gold Medal winner.

    Yes, Audley Harrsion.

They need to take away the stupid headgear and go back to the old scoring system and Frauds like Harrison would never win.

Headgear is gone as of next year. Scoring is going back to the 10 point system aswell, I believe.
