I ask this because you know how in buisness and especially boxing smokescreens are thrown out.Do you believe Floyd was sincere in making the fight happen or was he trying to make the public believe he wanted it.

Expect to get 4 types of opinion.

    1. Justifying it for Pac
    2. Justifying it for Floyd
    3. Pure nuthuggery for Pac
    4. Pure nuthuggery for Floyd

    You'll spot them easily.

Bob Arum didnt want it to happen. they still havent resolved the "stadium", "the date" and "cuts not healing" issues.
Manny demanding 50/50 instead of wanting to negotiate was just a cop out to not fight and to make it look like Floyd didnt want the fight, even though Floyd was obviously the one who was pursuing the bout while team pac and arum kept putting roadblocks in the way.

According to Top Ranks CEO even 50/50 was not going to make the fight

Then Floyd should have put him on the spot by offering it, or at least something reasonable like 55/45. As it is, he sent a humiliating offer and showed no flexibility at the time.

Approximately double Manny highest payday, and just about double what Manny took in his next fight with Tim is "humiliating"?

    Ninja please :nut

A fixed offer with no upside is insulting, even Cotto got a little upside. Why not start with a pctg split that's favorable to Floyd, then meet in the middle?

I'm not surprised you overlook the fact Pac would have to pay Arum his cut, say 27%. So for Pac that's $28m, barely more than for Bradley or JMM.

:think Sounds like Mr. Arum is raking it to Pac Monsters ass if you ask me.

Sort of sounds like what you are saying is: "Since Arum takes so much of Pac's cut, Floyd should have to come off of more of his, so the actual fighters can make out more "evenly"."

No there were more problems than just money such as the stadium Arum wanted to build and pac had some sort of injury.

Supposedly 27% is the standard promoter's cut. I don't know if Arum would get more or less, but lets take it as a baseline. If they agree on a reasonable split, say 55-45 or 53-47, there will be plenty of money for everyone, including Arum. Don't forget Floyd was gonna promote that, so there would be loads of extra income beyond the ppv.

With Floyd doing the PROMOTING, is more money for Arum (more than the $10,800,000 he was gonna get already) really sound right to you?

Pac would have a contractual obligation to pay Arum. So it's not a question of what sounds right to me.

OK, so now you agree that the 40m offer would amount to nowhere near twice his Bradley purse. Not sure why you were complaining in the first place, a 12% bump over Bradley for the biggest fight in boxing is humiliating.

27% is not the standard cut....at least not in this Country:lol:
