    Bottom line tho is...
Sounds like Chavez has officially outgrown the MW division & has acknowledged it now.
(Before now he always denied it)

A fighter with zero amateur background beating an olympic gold medalist of Ward's caliber, now that'd be a sight to see. And It's gonna look much more plausible after he takes care of Martinez in convincing fashion.:bbb

harder to ditch the pee tests on the grand stage......looking forward to this fight with Martinez...I'm backing Martinez 100%.....i do think it will be a hell of a fight for him though...Jr. should move up win or lose, bigger fights with men his size

sounds like he's planting the seeds to "grow out of the division" and miss weight vs Martinez. I can see this fight getting canceled over weight issues.

Chavez will probably be stronger when he's not constantly dehydrating & putting back the weight. If he loses to Sergio, which is likely, who else is he gonna' fight if he DOESN'T step up? - Plus, he can use the weight limit as an excuse. (his own, personal "little toe.")

Also, as much as we all want to hate him, he really is getting better with each fight.

And last, he has the looks, the name, and the crowd appeal to be a big draw, so why not move to a more competitive division? It will be good for the sport.

Chavez' size advantage won't be that great at 168, he is getting better, but I don't think he would do well there right now.

First of all Chavit is gonna be battered by Martinez . At 168 won't do ****. Even the less skilled A.A would beat Chavit.:yep

size is about equal with all the other SMW, but strength is still huge advantage. Chavez Jr is a very physically strong human being.

This guy is like the george foreman of the MW division. He literally pushes guys into the ropes and punishes them. He's a bully in there
