What chance would you give Shogun in an 04/05 openweight fight with Crocop?

Peak Shogun went in with some big guys in Pride (Coleman, Randleman, Overeem).

Crocop had some trouble at times with naturally smaller men (Randleman, Wanderlei).

Would 05 GP version of Shogun have a chance at 'doing a Randleman' on Crocop, or would Crocop lay a 'Vovchanchyn' on Rua?

It's a tough call, because only Fedor and Nog are capable of beating prime Cro-Cop. And nobody is capable of beating prime, healthy, properly-prepared Shogun. So I'm calling this one a draw. :smoke

This sort of childish crap got boring years ago. Thanks for posting on my thread though, appreciated. :dead

I think it would be a good fight but Shogun would probably get picked apart and TKO'd in the end.

No problem. Just trying to fall in line with the experts. :good

To answer your question, I would bet on the naturally bigger man.

It would have been a good fight but prime CC had his killer legs

    Yawn. Still boring. :dead

Is that a rule, or just a choice in this case?

General rule. If two guys are both strikers on more or less the same level, then the chances are the bigger man will win the fight.

Bad match up for Shogun. He would have a hard time taking him down. He would also have a hard time clinching with him...Crocop was very good at pushing guys off him. Crocop by stoppage strikes.
