The brit shouldn¡t even have been in the final to begin with. But hey it's ok, in a few years people will forget about it and the brits will act like it was a legit win, just like they act now like the 1966 World Cup was a legit win.
yeah i agree. Josh is still seriously uncut. Very strong guy. Was in trouble when he was getting pounded, didnt know what to do. No way he got that gold. Hes at best bronze. Its a shame the judges were somewhat bent, it really pisses on the reputation of britain being a fairplay lot.
Concerning football - home advantage isnt the same as cheating, though its a big advantage of course. Have Ukraine, South Africa, Poland, Switzerland, Germany, Korea, China, even Portugal won the last run of world and euro cups for their home advantages ? - NO. Clearly a team need to deliver too in order to win, not just have home advantage, and England clearly delivered in 66. Cheating is a strong word for ENgland players who yes sometimes are cheats, depending on individual personality, but collectively are far less cheaty than many 'winner' football teams such as Italy. The biggest way England cheat is in their manufactured FIFA ranking, which isnt the players' faults. Noone is claiming that England are a good team anymore, dont be sucked into the media hype. English people know that we are at best not bad at the game. If you are mentioning football then you need to discern between british and english, which makes a big difference. No english were cheering on the scots at euro 96. One final point, England have actually come within a whisker of winning Italia 90. So they have had major success on foreign soil. Granted its a rare occasion, but aside from the very best teams who has made it on more than rare occasion? Concerning Joshua and boxing olympics - But sure, JOshua and his judges have left us serious questions about our Olympian judges, and that sickens me. But in no way is Josh useless because of a corrupt judge panel, much in the same way Josh wasnt gold winner.
Anyone who thinks the 1966 world cup win was some sort of robbery is an idiot and not even worth debating with. Also on Joshua... RAFA FACTS He is a 22 year old Olympic Gold Medalist who started boxing less than 4 years ago. He is also staying amatuer for the next Worlds to win the gold in that too. This content is protected
Cammarelle got robbed because the fight was in Joshua's home country. And it seemed to me that Joshua may have a glass jaw too.
¿ To win the gold in next year World Championships ? , mmmm don't think so , unless they're staged in " Great " Britain . Shame on you Brits .
Remind me how many British judges there were? Remind me how many other questionable and dubious decisions there have been in ALL contests run under AIBA? The whole set up is a farce, nothing to do with being on home soil. We all see the odd result in the pro ranks, but nothing like the cack scoring handed out by the electronic scoring. Thank goodness it's being sorted in Rio.
Well last year the World's were in Baku, Azerbaijan & Josh lost in the final by a single point to the hometown favourite. Please stop your pathetic crying.
