**** it if the fight was over in Vegas I would take it. Rees would get a good payday and a chance to fight one of the best in the world. Why not take it, he has **** all to lose.

Totally agree it reminds me of Trinidad V Lueshing many years ago, Kev went off with supposedly no chance, although us Brits knew he hit hard enough to put Trinidad in all sorts of trouble which he did, he put him down and hurt him but was very quickly afterwards beaten by the atg.

Rees bangs a bit and Gamboa has been down before a little in the mould of Trinidad, why not give it a go, providing the pay day was substantial of course.

I agree. TBH I think it could be a risk from Gamboa's people putting him in the ring with Rees. Rees isnt a name in the USA and so much is expected of Gamboa. It could potentially be a high risk, low reward fight for Gamboa. I don't think that Rees will win, but like you say, he's really got nothing to lose as long as he gets a fair pay day. He'd be losing against one of the best. I say good luck to him

great fight, Rees may lose but if he looked good in doing so his chance for a belt will come again soon.

Certainly. Barker & Macklin's efforts at middleweight spring to mind.

Also Rees isnt getting any younger so it would be stupid to turn down an opportunity like that.

How many weights is Gamboa stepping up for this then? Isn't he a featherweight?
