    A few things

    1) Floyd showed he could have moved and out boxed him for 12 rounds if he chose

    2) Floyd's legs are fine he was bouncing around after 12 rouds of a healthy Cotto trying to pound him

    3) Cotto's stamina has improved overall

    4) Floyd MIGHT have carried Cotto a little bit,he did not go for the kill, but I am curious if that was out of respect for Cotto

    5) Cotto got his confidence back for sure, after he was dazed Miguel still kept coming,in the past we would see him back up and hold

1: He also could have been pacing himself for a strong finish
2: Points 1 & 2 are almost the same. Has Mayweather lost some speed are his legs what they used to be? I'm not convinced either way. What I am sure about is that if he has sowed down. He's learned to compansate. Mayweather now is still a great boxer.
3: I agree with this point. I think at this stage in his career despite being short for the weight 154 is the best weight for Cotto.
4: While Mayweather's power gets underrated at 147. He's by no means a power puncher. I think as Mayweather's career progresses and he moves permanantly to 154 and possibly 160 we are going to see less and less knockouts by him.
5: While I think Cotto is a bit overrated. He's a very good profesoinal boxer. Other than his sore loser fit at the end of the bout he acted like one throughout the fight. He seems to have found himself the right trainer for himself.

Floyd's cardio suffered by the bodie blows he recieved. He cant dance all the fight, especially when Cotto was applyng constant educate and efectiuve pressure.

Since Margarito rematch, we have a Cotto 2.0 in all aspects of the game.

Sorry man, and I say this as a huge FMJ fan, Cotto put in good work and I don't think FMJ had enough to finish him safely. FMJ has bulked up. Muscle bulk is hell on cardio. FMJ's one punch power now is a little underrated, but it is coming at a price.

That was a GREAT fight by Cotto. His jab was amazing and his body work efective. I think that is the first (or second if you count Marg) fight we saw of a properly trained, mentally at peace, and not drained Cotto against a high level opponent. He looked good.

There was no carrying Cotto other than FMJ mixing it up a little more early versus just dropping round feeling Cotto out.

I kinda agree with that, I think could have finished him but PBF would not do it unless he was certain Cotto was completely done

Dont' think he was Carrying him...Floyd is not a big risk taker.
I think he could have knocked him out in the 12th. But Didn't really try to becasue the Risk outweighed the reward. What if Cotto Clocked him & took him out? Unlikely but FMJ ALWAYS leans on the side of caution.

I LMFAO at 12-0, 11-1, and 10-2 cards that people had for Floyd. Cotto won at least 3-4, I gave him a very close, razor thin 5th round. So my card would be anywhere from 117-111 to 115-113 for Floyd.

I think what round 12 proved was that he had the ability to put Cotto away and didnt

I think in a rematch he would try to get him out of there or at least try to beat him more dominantly
