I'd go as far as to say it's been very good. I'm sure we'll see plenty of "champs" from this current crop and I'm not just talking about medallists. I'd love to see Lomachenko in the pro ranks.
Like you say, people who are saying fighters are the lowest in ability don't know what they're looking at.
This isn't the pro game where prospects are fed a load of cannon fodder. This was a high standard where sometimes good fighters don't shine as much because they are fighting other good fighters. That Olympic scoring can cause a stalemate sometimes when there is a clash of styles but put them in a pro ring and plenty will shine.

I watched the Joshua fight and saw nothing that suggested he was A: remotely like a Klischko, B: had any real power, C: could throw anything other than the same big telegraphed overhand right that Joshua and his aunt May saw coming from row ZZZ, and D: moved like Valuev with treacle pasted on his soles. In essence, a big stiff.

With all due respect to the two fighters who were wrongfully deprived of winning gold but the still most undeserving gold medalist of all time was the fighter that Roy Jones Jr., lost his controversial decision to back in the Seoul, Korea 1988 Olympics.

This is Wladimir during his Olympics

Wladimir who have 10x the AM Experience compare to Joshua.

People got to wake the **** up, all Wlad did was grab and clinch his way to a medal. That was the most pathetic boring display of Olympic Boxing I seen.

Joshua with his limited experience looks much more mobile and athletic.

Was Wladimir not a teenager when he won that and only just stepped up to Superheavy after Vitali was booted off the team compared to the hulk like fully grown 23 year old Joshua?
