First off, why are you mentioning 43-0? I never said Floyd didn't win? I said he won clearly, with a minimum of 7 and a maximum of 9 by my card.

I said IN MY OPINION HE WON 3-5. I know offcially he didn't. You are ****ing dumb.

LOL, maybe you don't care about the article. The article was actually very interesting and showed scoring differences between the three judges. The point was Cotto won 5 different rounds between the judges, so the case could be made he won 5 rounds overall.

I hate Floyd slurpers like you.

your opinion is **** because youre a ****. Please tell me you dirty **** what 5 rounds did you give Cotto scrub?

    :rofl

So using your logic the case could also be made that Mayweather didnt lose a single round. You get that logic dumby?

    Deal with it hoe. 43-0

As you can see the judges were pretty much unanimous. With the exception of one giving Cotto round 3 and one round 5.

    Your logic is terrible.

Tge scorecards show that Cotto won only 2 rounds with an unambiguity. Pretty dominate win for Mayweather.

    U Mad?

Cotto looked really good that fight, and played a perfect foil to Floyd. I think Floyd did well to pick him apart, but Cotto stayed competitive throughout the majority of the fight and clearly took two rounds (6th and 8th). He made good cases in about two or three other rounds, and become one of Floyd's toughest fights in the process.

That said, Floyd looked awfully good, too, and though he may have lost a quarter beat in terms of speed, has developed enough strength and pop to remain at the top of the table.

Fight was a lot of fun to watch, and based on sheer aesthetic value, I'd have no issue with watching them do it again, because while the result probably wouldn't be any different the quality of the fight would still be of extremely high quality. You can never go wrong with that.

I'd have to re-score the fight, but I can do that for you.

I understand you can look at it like Floyd won all 12, but let's be honest, we all know that's nonsense. I though the fight was closer than the judges had it, that's why I mentioned the article I read.

Deal with what? LOL. Stop saying 43-0. I never said he lost a fight. God you are so ****ing ignorant. Are you always a ****-eating ****?

Also, how am I ****? Please, enlighten me?

After rewatching I truly feel Mayweather was toying with Cotto from round one on, the 1st 5 rounds he boxing the **** out of Cotto and even buckiling him throwing combo's and all, and then he starts to back up to the ropes at times even having his hands completely down throwing wild uppercuts on the ropes showing little regard for Cotto or his power. He then lays on the ropes for 3-4 rounds to deliver his vicious counters, while Cotto snuck in a few jabs, appearing to some that he may have been tired and that the Cotto onslaught took it's toll on Mayweather.

Round 12 comes Mayweather is surprisingly rejuvenated, bouncing on his toes, showing that he had the ability to avoid Cotto superior's ability to cut off the ring, and do what he wants, showing he was the matador stringing Cotto along the whole match, he then pulls the right hook left uppercut combo seemingly out his ass which badly badly hurts the solid chinned Cotto, he then backs off and look at Cotto for like 30 seconds allowing him to recover before jumping back, deliver more shots and buckling him again and then lets him recover once more, then dances to victory....

My verdict: Mayweather simply was using Cotto to get some rounds and there after failing to do so with Ortiz, and it's was nothing more than a gloried sparring session, with Floyd doing what he does to get the W, while trying not to completely destroy Cotto, in case of a rematch

I belive it was the 9th but I could be mistaken. I might have a running score card on IB's round by round thread for the fight.
For argument's sake lets say Cotto won the 8th and 9th. That's still a 10-2 win for Mayweather.

I still find it hilarious when people say Floyd could have moved around had he felt like it. He's been cornered by lesser men and hasn't shown consistent lateral movement since 135. They must have missed the parts where Cotto strong-armed Floyd into the ropes and circled him when Floyd tried to pressure.

I really don't get people saying Floyd was just toying with him. Floyd looked sluggish and Cotto showed a great jab and foot movement after each jab, great footwork- best I've ever seen from him.

Considering the opponent in front of him this is the best Cotto I have ever seen and I have seen him live. But also, I think it's clear that at age 35 Mayweather has lost a step.

Cotto won two clear rounds -- 6 and 8.

I could see people giving him another round, though. (Can't remember which one it was, but it was fairly close.)

One of my favourite moments from that fight:
