Lewis had the tools even back then to bomb him right out, and i still think Wlad is a very good fighter. But that was before he knew that his chin was no good and he fought with it way up in the air and would even be aggressive a lot when he was younger. Lewis was the much more fluent/looser boxer as well, and would you imagine Lewis straight power shots on the chin of a charging Wladimir? Lights out!

Different rules. They changed the amateur rules after 88.

    But Lewis is the best.

Anyone know why Lesin never turned pro? He seemed to be a good prospect.

This is simply the the 100%, unadulterated truth.

And it is backed up by the fact that the worst version of Lewis stopped the best version of Vitali.

You're thinking of Aleksandr Miroshnichenko who fought Bowe in '88 and dropped him twice with body shots before Bowe came back to win.

Course he would back him up. All you need to do against Wlad to back him up is throw, he backs up from smaller opponents

Imagine what happens when Wlad tries to back up from Lennox with greater reach

Nothing. Lewis wasn't the kind of boxer who blindly stumbled after fighters who back away.

No not blindly stumble, follow up with lethal rights, catch them pulling back and take half their face off
