    PED's are real.

Nobody realizes how prevalent they are in all sports (the easy majority of athletes), but if you get caught, then you get caught. He did. Toney, Jones, and Tarver all have that on their resumes too.

boo ****in hoo. sonny liston was on them, too. You discredit a former 160 pounder that decided to hop on at 5 feet9?. You have never been in a modern gym obviously

James is simply amazing. I can watch his fights over and over and over again. He had it all. Handspeed, defense, timing, power and one of the greatest chins i have ever seen.

I can't believe that he could move up to heavyweight and SCHOOL a still okay version of Holyfield. Also a fat out of shape guy outclassed fighters like Rahman and Peter.

Toney is really underrated and goes down as an ATG for me.

People never look to the depth of his record. If you actually look at it, even if you dont recognise a name on his resume if you actually watch the fights you will realise how many in shape, hungry contenders he destroyed.

He took on everyone and suffered only from a lack of discipline.

Epic battles with Jirov and Mcallum.

Just so much to love about Toney. He will be in my top 10 favourite fighters forever.

He was skilled, but lacked the drive and discipline to be one of the greats. With his frame, he could have been a great LHW. I would call him a H2H nightmare at MW

Holyfield was flat out shot! 1992 Holyfield beats that version of James Toney no problem!

He was using performance enhancers against Rahman

Hall of famer, but nope not an ATG, no way.

There are some solid wins on there, Mccallum, Nunn, R.Johnson, Barkley, Tim Little, then the win over Jirov was good, the wins over Rahman and Ruiz don't count because he was caught using PEDs. He floundered for too many years, and losses to the likes of Tiberi, Griffin (x2) and Drake Thadzi all in his prime hurt his resume.

Toney is underrated. He used to be a beast and can still get away with fighting young fighters at his age, mostly because he has the skills to do it.

Toney is an ATG and his resume is ridiculously deep in weights from middle to heavy. Great fighter who gave great fights.

He and green Hopkins are Roy's best wins.

He is also the only viable poster boy for Burger King. A seriously awesome career.

Pepper's a good guy. From Philly, too. Nice as hell, but definitely a Philly guy.

And I agree that James Toney had talents you'll seldom ever see again. He is just a 100% natural fighter.
