And Vern Forrest's skills exceeded Mayorga's when they fought. Your post mean nothing.

The Sturm robbery was one of the worst ever in the history of boxing. At least Trinidad/Dlh had close rounds. The Sturm fight had none. Sickening what happened to the German.

Nobody can deny that Oscar didn't fight the best, he just lost most of the time. The Bills went to 4 straight Super Bowls, but they lost them all. Nobody talks about their 4 straight AFC championships though. It's the same with Oscar, when the lights were brightest, he lost most of the time. That's a fact. Now if it makes anyone feel better to say he lost because he was past his prime, fighting a bigger guy, etc, etc, so be it, but he still lost most of those mega fights, and struggled to wins he didn't deserve in a few others. I don't get why some people seem butt hurt about it, it's true. If you are mad get mad at Oscar.

Washed up is too harsh a description for Vargas for the DLH fight, but saying hw was prime when facing DLH is no better. Can only summise you haven't really seen Vargas fight much before Tito and just mostly after. Vargas before and after Tito is really night and day in terms of how he fought and noticable in his punch resistance. Go watch him vs. Ike and WInky. Then watch him vs. Shibata Flores and Wifredo Rivera. If you're as versed in boxing as you'd like to believe, you will see a big drop off.
