Ali-Foreman: Why?

After Zaire,there were three big fights for Muhammad. Frazier,Norton and a Foreman rematch. He took the first two,but by the end of 1976,Muhammad was no longer anywhere near as good as he was in Zaire,and he knew it. That's why he did n't fancy a Foreman rematch at this point in time.

Because of his inactivity during 1975,George put himself back in the queue. If they'd been rematched during that year,there's very little doubt in my mind that Ali would have beaten him again. After '75 it's more of a grey area.

 

Of course you have , you seem to have finished elementary school .

Foreman was not a kid , he was in his prime .
Angelo Dundee put ropes too large for the small ring , and made sure that they were loose .
To cover for this crime of his , he shouted to Ali to get off the ropes and later expressed his retrospective concern to Ali's health .

Foreman was intentionally dehydrated for the fight by his trainers Dick Saddler and probably Archie Wright too , I do not rule Archie's involvement in a scam .
He could be paid bribe / asked for help against an "uncle tom" / both / something else .

Should I even mention that the fight occurred in a very hot weather ?
Foreman was possibly also drugged , but I am not yet certain about it .
Also Ali was allowed to softly foul .

There have been trhead on this. Foreman was all ****ed up in head, he tried to go home to see own doctor and family when fight was postponed due to injury, and they would not let him leave, they even put soldiers at airport to hold him in country till fight.

Also, Ali was telling all the Africans that Foreman was White mans champ, and there was talk that if Foreman won, they would kill him in riots. Last part was probalby hysteria, but it was crazy over there, counrty had just overthrown previous government, and new leader was getting tight with Don King.

Look how Fromean came out--one foot in front of tother at times, hands in front of him like a guy trying to work his way through a room where the lights had gone out. Ropes were so loose, Ali was leaning back so far his head was out of range. Plus, Foreman had little stamina to start with, but that fight was his worst performance ever.

 

There was NOTHING wrong with George's fitness when he arrived in the ring on that night. If Frazier,Norton or Roman had been his opponent in Zaire,George would have disposed of them as easily as he did when they fought. As I keep saying,Ali posed problems that Foreman had never encountered previously.

 

Then why did he look like ****? What was up with him walking around way he did? You do realize what i said, about him being held there when he wanted to leave is true, or you think it never happened? He looked like ****, he was in physical shape, but his mind was shot by fight time.

 

How did it not cause a diplomatic incident ?

It seems unreal .

Do not expect "Stevie G" to recognize the truth .

The truth is just not part of his agenda .

I've no doubt that Ali was n't too happy about being kept in Zaire either,no matter what he said at the time. Ali saw the oppurtunity to use it to his adantage. As the legendary trainer and manager,Cus D'Amato said,boxing is as much a mental as a physical thing. Muhammad capitalised on a negative situation,and George did n't. Simple or as complex as that.

Ali was being treated like a celebrity, and had ton of American celebrities around him. He was enjoying seld, and had no injury to treat. Foreman was hearing chants that he shoud be killed, an had severe cut that needed stitches and rest. He wanted to take break and go home was denied, That will **** up a guys head.

 

There's nothing like giving a loony opinion as fact.
