If Ward's career continues in this vane, without suffering a loss, who can deny him a spot in history amongst the very greatest that have ever operated the squared circle?

I feel most will be unable to put their bias to one side and look for the hard evidence to support or deny an observation as such.................

it's tough to make that kind of claim at this point in the man's career.

It's hard to imagine anyone getting into the top 10 All Time from this era.

I think Ward has great potential though. My only fear is that he runs out of recognized competition at 168 and 175. Though I do sometimes fantasize about him moving up to light up a very old Wlad.

Every boxer as a whole will deny him because they aren't regarded as good enough.

Considering all he has achieved to this point, and presuming he continues to outclass world level competition for the remainder of his career, can you deny that he is worth mentioning in the same breath as Joe Frazier and Marvin Hagler(fighters who could be argued as top 10 or not)??

He has the skills/talent/ability, but there's more to being a top 10 ATG. How dose he do in big fights. Will he lose fights he shouldn't lose?

that would be glorious, but I don't see wlad sticking around well past his prime. he may be boring but he's smart, but then again, we've seen some of the smartest, financially set fighters continue fighting for inexplicable reasons only they themselves fully understood.

I tend to agree with your first point. even floyd would have some serious work to do to qualify for mythic top ten p4p atg status, and ward does have great potential if any part of his package does not betray him, but even he would have to combine longevity, quality of opposition, and perhaps even dominance of weightclasses from his own, up to heavyweight to be considered among the all time cream of the crop.

in short, top ten p4p atg, mythic a title as it may be, is virtually impossible to achieve.

I cannot presume that he continues to outclass world level comp for the remainder of his career, to such an extent that he be included in a list of the top ten greatest fighters of all time.

Mayweather and Pac had their chance at it but they were too chicken.

    Hell no.

Hes a good fighter one of the best today but hes not top 10 ATG good nor does he have the opposition available for him to try and achieve an ATG resume.
