Hamed was a better fighter with better wins than Gatti.

Gatti is not from the USA, he just mainly fought there (particularly New Jersey).

He was born in Italy and was raised in Canada.

De La Hoya has defeated 17 world champions and has won ten world titles in six different weight classes. Respect it.

This poll is a good example that boxing fans act on their emotions and dont think things clearly. In reality most boxing fans DKSAB.

off topic but...Al Bummy Davis was a nut! when he fought the dirtiest fighter ever in Fritzie Zivic, Fritzie brutally thumbed his eye like he did to so many and Davis lost his **** and gave no less than 10 repeated low blows! The ref DQ'd him then he went over and kicked the ref and tried to resume to fight with Zivic! hahaha

I would love to see it happen, obviously.

I'm hoping the word fame get paid enough attention to (hall of FAME), and all the gut wrenching moment he gave the sport are enough to get him voted in.

Just because I would like to see Gatti in based off of FAME, and what he gave doesn't mean I lack boxing knowledge.

I'm sure I'm one of the most knowledgeable guys that post here (in my age group) being that I not only passionately follow, and skeptically interrogate boxing, I have been in the ring with real trained guys (even if most of the time I caught good ass beatings :yep).

Gatti fans tend to be biased, but I wont be too mad if I don't see him get voted in, as I know skill plays a big part of it, and Gatt at his best was what, a B/B+ level fighter?

And yes as Roger would say, most people dksab.

i wish half of the fighters of today had that mans determination and work ethic. he gave his life for our sheer entertainment. that in itself demands respect
