ODLH's resume is pretty weak if you think about it

ODLH is the the most overatted fighter in history. After Pac of course.

Are people really this dumb? Or is he just a kid that watched De La Hoya's last fight and thinks he knows what he's talking about.

This forum used to be so much better with intelligent posting's. Now it's all this ****, haters and glass jaws. If I had never watched boxing before and came to this site i wouldn't watch it bc apparently everyone is ****.

seriously. every great once and a while a protected prospect is "exposed" in reality because he was actually protected, but when, for example, two dominant undefeated guys like Trinidad and DLH go at it, when one guy wins, it isn't because both guys suck or one guy got "exposed", but every damn match up makes everything they have accomplished moot - these are the best fighters IN THE WORLD.

I do think that "modern" training methods are **** and that the guys in the 1980s were superior in that titlists usually fought their number one mandatory - Larry Holmes reign for example, however lightly regarded, is filled with undefeated #1 ranked fighter after undefeated fighter challenging him and the stamina on display was simply better sometimes over the course of 13-15 rounds, but all the current elite fighters have proven themselves over and over again. It's pretty ludicrous to say everyone is **** (except that Caballero and Litzau really DO suck, but that's neither here nor there).

Jones has W's over Hopkins, Toney, and picked up a belt @ HW.

He said "called him a *****." Last I looked, neither Pac or Shane said anything remotley close. I'll give you Mayorga, forgot about him.

    LOL.

Chavez and Whitaker were Ole' assed men when Ole' Fishnets fought them. Hopkins was in/near his prime and Toney was at/near #1 on the P4P list when Jones fought them. And besides that, the Whitaker win wasn't decisive and @ no point in his career has Ole' Fishnets jumped TWO weight classes to win a belt.

    Jones >>> Ole' Fishnets

I'm sure the greater point was the steroid usage, not the necessarily the insults.

He has got a very impressive resume

First of all, from the very beginning he was fighting guys with good records, unlike many stars who only get to fight dangerous fights after 20 or so easy opponents.

In his pro debut he was fighting a guy with 5-1 record and in his 4th fight he was fighting Jeff Mayweather 23-2-2 won TKO 4.

    His list is very impressive

Paez, Molina, Ruelas, Hernandes, Leija, Gonzales, Kamau, Quartey, JCC, Whitaker, Camacho, Gatti, Castillejo, Vargas, Sturm, Mayorga.

Sure he was fighting old JCC and Camacho but still JCC had a 96-1-1 record coming into the fight, coming of a streak of Ws and after losing to ODLH he won 4 in a row before the rematch. The real old version of JCC was the one Kostya Tszu was fighting. Camacho was 63-3 coming of a very long streak of Ws including SRL right before ODH. Most of the other guys he was fighting were in the prime.

His wins over Whitaker and Quartey were disputable although not considered robberies by most. Also one has to note that his loses to Trinidad and Mosley were at the very least disputable. His win over Sturm was a robbery though.

He was a good fighter, his legacy was affected a bit with his homosexuality but he can't be denied as a good boxer.

Mosley and Mayorga were also on banned substances.
