Why does Manny refuse to face Cotto without a catchweight involved?

What is it about Cotto that makes his team feel there HAS to be a catchweight involved? now they want a rematch at yet another catchweight?why??

a catchweight is supposed to weaken a fighter, shouldnt someone want every advantage they can get?

its like black folks and affirmative action:rofl

He can't beat Cotto at 154, his team knows it.
The trick is to drain the big guys to make them slow and shot their stamina.

Pac was too little to fight Cotto at 147. Not too little to fight ODLH, Mararito, Clottey, or Mosley at 147 though.

In the case of a rematch, there are no belts on the line so I'm fine with 150-152.

I'm guessing it's probably the same reason Floyd won't fight Sergio at Middleweight? Or LMW for that matter...

“If Sergio Martinez can make 150, let’s make the fight happen,” said pound for pound king Floyd Mayweather in a Yahoo Sports story on Wednesday.

Truth be told there wouldn't be no need for it if everyone was playing on the same level in the first place.

It's not only Cotto, he won't fight anyone at 154. Wolak, Delvin Rodriguez are in the same select company.

But he will fight Cotto at non cw 147, or 150, which might be Cotto's ideal weight.

I don't blame Pac for not being willing to go to 154, he has reached his weight limit and should be really at 140, however I do blame him for wanting to rematch Cotto which was a beatdown the first time.

Because Manny and his handlers knows his true potential. He's not as great as fans think really think he is.
