It makes no sense why not just fight the man and let him weigh what he wants within the divisional limit?

It doesn't make sense? Just widen your scope a little: why won't Floyd make a fight with Sergio and let him weigh in 160, but might at 150? Why won't Sergio fight Ward at 168 or even 166, but might at 160? Why won't Ward fight Dawson at 175 or 170?

    Styles > weight.

And this matchup ~ at any weight ~ doesn't represent itself as an exception.

    Futile.

Do people don't do a research, or they know a thing but would just ignore it.

Before the Oscar fight, Roach told Oscar would be Pac's first and last fight at 147,

Then Pac fights Hatton at 140, he looks impressive and carries the weight well. Pac vs Cotto become a hot fight. Since Pac only has one fight at 147, and not really tested, Cotto and Pac agree to a fair 145 fight (only one pound less to Cotto's last fight with Clottey). In Cotto vs Pac fight many thinks Cotto will dismantle and punish Pacquiao(you can search topics about that here or on other forums). After the Cotto fight, Pac established himself as a force in 147, hence after Cotto all Pac fighst are at 147...

Yes but thats because everyone wants to see floyd v martinez and martinez is calling him out, but floyd hasent gone to 160 yet

Floyds tested the 154 waters twice now and hasent looked himself i think his limit is 147, pacquiao are calling out cotto offering him
Catchweight fights but no one wants to see that fight? They are essentially just looking for someOne else to bully down because JMM has had enough of team pacquiaos bull****

Cotto wont kill himself to make 147,.. And i think we all know if the cotto from the floyd fight takes on manny at 154 manny is goin to get beat...

Fighting Cotto wiuld be a risk. If any boxer goes out of his way to avoid risks. Its Manny "No Risk" Pacquiao.

What do you mean? FMJ is a two time 154 titlist, currently ranked 1, with lineage back to Yuri Foreman and Alcine. Is he not prepared to meet all challengers at the weight? I guess Sergio at 150 is not as bad as what Cotto tried to pull on one eyed and unranked Marg. Pac was willing to take the same weight he offered to Marg, what's the holdup Cotto?

Right, everyone knows that one is bogus, like Oscars MW. Was a pretty fun fight though. He's a full time welter now.
