Who would you call the 10 best Super middleweights ever? Once again please don't list those who fought in the past at what could qualify as this weight...rather keep it to those who actually fought in the SMW era begining with Murray Sutherland who won the inagural belt in 1984.

Who are your top 10 SMW's?

Pretty solid list ! I'd have Jones just above Collins though.

There were 'Super Middleweight' titles in the 1970's, Sutherland certainly did not win 'the' inaugural belt...

Solid list when Mclellan is 3rd after 1 fight at the weight which he lost to a man he doesnt even have on it. And Calzaghe at number 10? Top list yeah.

He's had a pretty special short career though and i think he'd beat all those i put below him.I dont usually do these lists i leave them to more knowledgable posters but 168 has always been a favorite division of mine, grew up watching Benn and Eubank.

i would certainly agree that Ward has looked good so far and there are not many left for him to better at this weight limit today so perhaps i was being a bit hasty (still thinking of Langford and Greb in this weight class) but for now cant put him above Eubank or Benn. Ottke and Collins are fighters that are overrated for me especially Collins he beat in Benn a fighter that had faded quite quickly or more probable a fighter that did not really have the desire to hurt others any more and eubank was on the way down and his tittle defences were really at a European level

I've not done a confident top ten in this division yet.

    I'd start with

    Calz
    Jones jr
    Ward
    Toney
    Froch
    Benn

Then after that it'd be the likes of kessler, liles, reid, mitchell, ottke, eubank etc.
