Blue, I believe are unjustifiably low for my liking, while Red are too high for my liking.

I'm staggered at the choice of liston for number 3!

I've posted my top 20 or so countless times on here and the names seem pretty much the same, just in a different order.

Liston, clearly, doesn't belong in a top 5 heavyweight list.

Schmeling's absence should depress you as well....I like to flop them in for Sullivan, Sam & Gene, either way nice list...I love Johnson at 3 even though I don't place him that high personally.

yeah they're my next 3 actually.

I rate Johnson's resume higher than most do, I can accept that but I can also comfortably defend my position so I'm OK with it.

Sullivan set the bar for greatness as a HW, 7 years as undefeated champ is ridiculous. Anyone who surpasses the "bar setter" is my definition of a divisional ATG.

Gene I rank pretty highly h2h, his skillset is quite unique and he was proven.

Sam, I guess his resume speaks for itself and then it depends on how you see the coloured championship during the time of the colour bar. On occasion it surpassed the world championship imo and whilst Johnson was inactive and out of shape, Sam was destroying the top 5 as coloured champion.

I don't really hold a flame for lineal championships, it doesn't really tell the story for me. I appreciate it does for others, I just heartedly disagree.

I'm still working my way through the heavy's but from what I know I would definitely have Dempsey and Marciano above Liston and Walcott above Charles and Patterson.

Can't believe the way you guys rank Liston!? He is easily among the 5 greatest heavyweights of all time. He was unlucky to be ducked for so many years we never saw him as a dominant champ however he cleaned the division as a contender moreso than Patterson did as the champion. He was also unlucky to run into a prime Clay. He beats them all bar Ali and possibly Louis, however I would be suprised is Joe's chin stood up to Liston's bombs.
