It's not at a catch weight. Dawson is challenging Ward for his super middle weight titles bro. The limit is 168. Dawson is coming down from 168 to take them. It's not a catch weight fight, Dawsons titles are not even on the line. Why would the fight be at any higher weight? Pac vs Cotto, Pac fought for a 147 title at a catch weight of 145 -- just like he fought a 154 fight at a catch weight of 150 -- these are not WW or SW, they are made up weight classes to get an advantage in the fight. You can say Ward is getting an advantage in the fight by Dawson moving back down to SMW, but at the same time it is a real weight class. Will just have to see how he looks at 168. To me this would be no different from Martinez moving back down to 154 to fight Mayweather for his title or something or to fight Alvaraz or whatever that gingers name is.

 

Ward dominated the top guys who are worth fighting -- he outclassed them and it results weren't even close. He could give them a rematch, but he beat them all so easy. He said he was going to give kessler a rematch after all the bitching about the two accidental headbutts, but Dawson, a better fighter, called him out and said he will come down to 168 just to fight him. So he ACCEPTED the challenge.
