You make a legit point, however....Lopez was thrown a curve ball that he nailed. Ortiz was supposed to be here....Lopez upset the Apple Cart and is making the most out of this. Taking high risk/high reward fights is what got him here.

In gambling.....everyone knows to go big when you get hot. Lopez is hot right now and is going big in a MAJOR way. For Canelo.....this is a low risk/low reward fight.....he thinks exactly like 95% of the public....Josesito is moving up to Canelos domain and will be a walk in the park.

As soon as I heard about this fight......I predicted Lopez would win... He shouldn't.....but I know how unlikely that outcome is.

He could be. I would have liked to see how he looked without it. Sometimes when a fighter covers, its for a reason and usually that means he doesn't look good. But it's training, and he just fought and this is a big time life changer so he could be well prepared. In other words, who the hell knows and I can't wait for the fight. One thing we know about Josesito, he will go out on his shield. If he upsets Canelo, I'll rank that high on the list of improbable outcomes.

I think, because of lopez height he will carry the weight good and you all act like canelo has been at 154 his whole career,i think this is a tough fight for canelo, especially if lopez can take his punches.

And he looked small, and somewhat flabby at 147. Lopez has no chance in this fight.

It's amazing how some don't know much about boxing here. Just because you weigh a certain weight, doesn't mean that's your weight. Look at JMM and how he bulked up for Pac, the man looked like a body builder.

In boxing, you want to get as low of a weight as you possibly can without losing speed or power, basically without weakening yourself. It seems to me that Lopez has gained the weight the right way, by lifting and bulking up but that doesn't mean he's the bigger man.

I can bulk up to 200 pounds of muscle but I wouldn't be a natural 200lber, I don't walk around like that and it's not normal for me. Canelo is a very big and strong 154lber, he carries the weight very well and you can see he can even go higher as he gets older.

Lopez is doing the right thing but make no mistake about it, Canelo is the bigger man and natural at that weight.

If he's hiding something under that shirt, it's probably a weight belt. He doesn't look much bigger to me than he has in the past.

Never thought of that. Right, he could be something like 151 but they need to make him appear heavier. He did only tip in at 144 for Ortiz and was actually a tad fleshy (for a fighter) there.

Good for Lopez. I do hope he could fill in, but don't want him to bulk up too much. I still want him to be fluid in there against Canelo. Josecito is small for Canelo, he didn't even make a full 147 at the weigh-in against Ortiz. I'm sick of Canelo not stepping up an fighting legit 154 pounders who are very deserving of an oppertunity at the belt.

I'm pulling for Josecito to pull another upset, but I think Canelo is going to hurt him with some brutal body shots and finish him around the 8th.
