50/50 imo. Foreman had a power advantage, while
Bowe had elite level polished technical skills.
People with polished boxing skills could survive
ala Peralta, and with masterful scientific skill
win in Jimmy Young. Both fighter had iron chins,
and while Foreman had a powerful snapping jab,
Bowe's jab was more educated. Both fighters had
leaky defence, monster uppercuts and overhand
rights. If Bowe boxes and moves and sticks to
a gameplan he can outbox George, and score
big with uppercuts on the inside and expose
Foreman's crude style. If a slugfest occurs,
which is likely, it would be a classic war.
Bowe and Foreman were incredibly hard to
stop, and both had no fear or love in the ring
not to mention a mean streaks. IM0 someone
    is getting stopped within 8.

Bowe did not have elite defensive skills or was very lazy in using them. He could also be baited into a brawl when his skill set and physical assets were more aligned with a boxer/puncher approach. I see Foreman getting Bowe to go tit for tat... and well, you can guess who would win that.

No doubt Bowe could and would Outbox Foreman..But how much of a factor does that bring?

I don't think Bowe would try to box Foreman, at least not for long or stick to it as a solid plan... He'd get close. He's the one with the inside game advantage. Foreman needed some space.

Bowe is bigger, has a better jab, shorter shots, better inside fighter (did Foreman ever fight close?), and better defense, and that should be enough to do it right there, but I still think Foreman has a great chance here.

    Undecided now.

yeah he has the ability to outbox foreman, but there is no way he would stick to that gameplan long enough

Bowe was bigger, taller and the better boxer. His inside skills were the best ever for a big heavyweight. Eddie Futch did a masterful job with Bowe.

Foreman had an advantage in brute strength but its marginal. Bowe can hold his own in the strength department enough to let his boxing ability be the difference.

I gotta go with Bowe by decision in a tough pretty brutal fight.

    PS

Foreman is the greater fighter but peak for peak I like Bowe a little better. Bowe`s peak was pretty damn short though.

@ETM..Your probably right about the decision..But it still would have been a brutal fight if we're saying it goes 12 rounds..

Bowe would have his moments, but once Foreman catches him with a couple of killer punches in quick succession,it's all over.
