    I think having money to burn helps as well. I have bits and bobs of boxing memoriabilia (sp) but even the reserves on those auctions are usually above what I'm will to to pay.

    aye but having a bidding war over something you could get for a fraction of the price on ebay seems a bit stupid, but if its in aid of charity then it makes sense.

    thing is aswell, as the companys who provide the memorabilia take there cut , and the money that is made is usually anything over the reserve
