What happens if they fight in 1986?

    Or prime for prime?

Prime for prime I'd pick Weaver to overcome some very hairy moments to stop Bruno late, say between 10-12.

When Frank backed his man up he could probe his finishing attack. That's when Weaver loved to catch guys and he'd catch Bruno with some big shots, follow up and stop the, almost guaranteed to be, knackered London lad.

Good fight though, I wouldn't really argue against Frank putting Weaver away before he gets a chance to break through.

when i think about it bruno has a similar skill set to wladamir klit, big athletic strong in a clinch nice right hand good left jab chinny and struggles at a high tempo.

70/30 frank/weaver imo and like 99% chance the fight ends in a ko

I think Weaver would be the best fighter Wlad has faced as well. Wlad would really need to keep him at arms length. But I think he could.

Bruno would of won inside two in 86; but prime for prime: The 'cliché' Bomber choke; Weaver late, a mile behind on the cards.

In '86 I think it's likely Bruno wins, unless Weaver catches him with the hook a la Weaver's fight with Truth Williams.

Prime for prime I like Weaver, probably similar to Weaver's fight with Coetzee although I think Frank would last slightly less than the 13 rounds Coetzee did...

I don't think Bruno had a single win against an elite heavy IN THEIR PRIME...he always tended to come up short. Mickey Duff always said Bruno did not have a top class temperament. I believe Bruno always seemed to use up too much nervous energy against the real top guys, and his losses to the elite seemed to be self-fulfilling prophecies...

If Coetzee or Tate couldnt Knock out Weaver, then nor could Bruno. Weaver TKO 10.
