Yes PAC beating a elite prime Barrera is better than any win on Floyd's record.

Which prime Elite fighter Floyd beaten??? None.

    you're right, actually :good

but here are the cases in which *****s celebrate per fighter when Pac fought them:

DLH: weigh-drained, leftover, never the same after FLoyd

Hatton: exposed, leftover, never the same after Floyd

Cotto: weight-drained, shot, never the same after Margarito

    Clottey: who's Clottey?

Margarito: weight-drained, shot and never the same after Mosley

    Marquez: exposed Pac 3x :hey

    Bradley: beat Pac

Easy fight for Floyd now? Definitely! :good

Then Floyd wanted to "clean up the sport" :rofl:rofl:rofl:hi:

    Floyd a G :happy

Pacquiao beating Barerra > Floyd entire career

If anybody follow Pacquiao career, Pacquiao shouldn't even be fighting above 135. How he was able to do it is just special...especially pretty much cleaning out the welterweight division also.

Pacquiao greatest achievement is scaring the **** out of Floyd. I still don't get it how can a guy like Pacquiao can scared the **** out of Floyd .

I will say this. Most of the people Floyd fought were either fighters that the people in boxing wanted to see him fight or fighters that people thought could beat him. The only way you could possibly know that is if you were watching boxing at the time. People like to come around after the fact with their hindsight wisdom and act like those dudes were always trash. But that's not what people were saying before he fought these guys.

    :good

If I remember correctly, after the Hatton-Castillo post fight interview:

Hatton: "I think you've seen more excitement in these 4 rounds than you've seen in Floyd's entire career!"

Ellerbe: "Floyd told me when Hatton made that comment, make the ****ing fight happen!"

I think Floyd also gave a certain % of the PPV revenues to Hatton too :happy

I wonder why he doesn't want to give Pac some :rofl

and a lot of people thought that the bigger fighters Pac fought were going to school him :good

so what do *****s do after Pac won against the bigger guys? discredit his wins :rofl.....or accuse him of cheating :rofl

    whatever floats *****s' boats :hi:

    Saved me time.

Add on that Tszyu was on Showtime and Floyd on HBO.
Hatton was on Showtime and Gatti was on HBO.
Both brought big money and attention so Tszyu fought Hatton and Floyd fought Gatti.
And like in the past, where Tszyu just had to get past Phillips to fight Oscar (who wanted the fight), Tszyu lost to Hatton and blew his chances of ever getting to fight Floyd but strictly out of momentum because during his hiatus after Hatton, Tszyu admitted (in an interview that was posted on his website) that he could always call Floyd and get a fight with him no problem.

Williams: Williams also challenged Pac so I guess we have to mark that against Pac as well.
That said, I was never sold on Floyd fighting Williams. Not unless it was for a huge purse. Floyd was more interesting in making deals that suited him more than what was great for his legacy. He could have made this fight and others specifically by staying active but it was all business at this point.
His Goal throughout however, was strictly to get to O$CAR...and Mosley as well. Two biggest names of the era.

mosley was coming off 15 months of inactivity. it's not good for a 38 year old to be inactive for that long of a stretch. besides, it was proven in the actual fight and his fights after that shane mosley was already shot. also floyd was a heavy favorite coming into the fight.

it's the same case in pac's case against oscar. everybody were picking oscar to knock pacquiao with his jab alone. but when they saw the version of oscar, it was seen as a **** victory for pac.

Fighters fight so few often that it's a problem for the sport. The health aspect is as well but that's for another day.

and although I'm much more in favor of fighters getting what they deserve (which is based on what viewers are willing to spend which means the power is in their hands), much more so than those that don't fight and take (like promoters, managers, etc)....the UFC is better off with their power over the fighters because they can make all the fights the fans want to see. But I'm not in favor of an organization that may not be giving their fighters their fare share of what is generated....but it depends on what is really being generated and how the money is being put to use because they do certain things for their athletes that boxing isn't doing.
