Sanders was a C level fighter, he caught Wlad and exposed the weakness in his style. Today Wlad would maybe beat Sanders but we will never know. All we know for sure is that Sanders knocked Wlad the **** out.

Sanders showed against Vitali he can be dangerous to a top fighter for 2-3 rounds. After that he degrades to a C level bum.

Current Wlad can blast B and C level guys out easily, but his chess master approach takes care of 99% of A level talent late on by KO or wide decision. Sanders included.

Corrie Sanders should of tried to be like Muhammad Ali rather than Tiger Woods.

    Complete wrong.

Current Wlad is in his prime and his style would be working very good against Sanders. Sanders was dangerous for 2 or 3 rounds. Wlad today knows how to work behind the jab and to be patient.

Wlad today would be too fast for every version of Sanders.

As someone that was actually following boxing at the time, this is right.

Sanders didn't care who he fought, but after effectively hitting the jackpot by beating Wlad so emphatically, his next fight was always simply going to be about where he could get the biggest payout.

At his age, and with his ability, he was only going to be a 1 fight at a time proposition, so he had to maximize his earnings from each of them.

It was one of the most one sided and brutal embarrassing knockouts ever in a title fight. To say that the absolute reverse would happen in a rematch is not only without any basis whatsoever but is totally ludicrous.

The version of Wlad from the Sanders Camp cannot compare with Wlad today.

    No footwork nothing.

Today Wlad would destroy any version of Sanders.

    Interview or article?

Interview being you questioned the involved parties, ie Wlad, Boente, Sanders and his mgmt.

Mongoose is correct in that Sanders had far greater goals and had been trying to get a fight with Lewis for yrs anyways. Had Lewis decimated Vitali and not been forced into a rematch after Vitalis demolition of KJ, Sanders wouldve gotten the Lewis fight or a Tyson fight, both great $$$ fights and both easily winnable fights for him as well.:think

Wlad wants to rematch Sanders but Sanders dropped the WBO belt to fight for the vacant WBC.

So isn't Sanders like some sort of g(l)ass cannon?
Very strong puncher, quick hands. But only for 2-3 round?

His fight with Vitali was cool to watch.

Just watched Corrie his last fight.
That livershot he got was well placed but I felt sorry for him, way too old for a 29 year G.

I also wonder, how high does he rank on puncing power.
Sure he doesn't have elite skills or stamina, but I don't think many come close to his early round power.
