Carl Frampton/Steve Molitor September 22nd

Well at the end of the day hats off to Hearn and Frampton who appears to have the Froch attitude

This is why I'm such a big fan, Frampton will fight anyone put in front of him

 

Frampton isn't waiting till he is in his 30s before fighting live opponents.

 

Ive only seen Frampton fight once (his last fight) and after that I have no interest in watching him again, seems like a decent boxer with a boring technique and no power or am i all wrong? Molitor is a good name and winnable fight.

 

Shame about Kiko but good test with Molitor.

Shame the same can't be said of Burns v Mitchell. Great fight but shocking undercard. Its just not good enough anymore.

 

generally he's a come forward boxer puncher, who applies pressure to his opponents and can whack a bit (just look at the Kris Hughes knockout), but we saw a different side to Frampton in his last fight. It was a side he hadn't showed in his pro career to date and while I'll agree it wasn't the most entertaining of methods, he boxed superbly.

If Martinez was the opponent I'd have expected to see the same tactics again, but seeing as it's Molitor I've a feeling we could see a more aggressive Frampton once more. I think this will be much more entertaining than his last fight, so I reckon you should give him another viewing at least.

 

All wrong man, check out this fight at least and you'll see what frampton is really like. He was very safety first get the win and impress the next time in his last fight, against Molitor I fully expect him to come forward and punish him

 

I'm not one to praise promoters, even when they clearly deserve it. So I'm not going to start now.

 

Kiko would have a better chance of upsetting Frampton than Molitor. A small chance but a chance nonetheless unlike Molitor. I had the fight a toss up until Frampton's latest fight where he boxed excellently off the back foot. After that I had Frampton favourite.

 

Molitor has the name recognition for casual Boxing fans. British boxing fans will remember him for his fights with Hunter and Booth. Irish boxing fans will remember him for being a possible opponent for Bernard Dunne at times.

 

Molitor looks finished to me, can't believe people think this is a harder fight than the Kiko fight. Kiko had a genuine chance of hurting frampton, testing his chin and heart but Moliter should be an easier task.

 

Good replacement but disappointed we aren't getting Kiko.

It will be interesting to see how Frampton looks against a Southpaw as well.

Any update on Jamie Conlon and of he'll fight Chris Edwards or an opponent for McCloskey yet?!?

Great card anyway though. If Lyndsey could pull the upset on Selby that would be epic!
