I think Formean hit harder and had a better chin.

Bowe's main advantage is his ability to shorten his punches and his natural stamina reserve. Foreman doesn't win a round after 6. I just don't think it goes that far.

Bowe was much quicker and like you said shorter punches

Based on what did Foreman have a better chin, he didn't take punches against Frazier, got ko'd against Ali and nearly got ko'd against Lyle. Other than that he faced no real punchers in his first career

Don't get me wrong there's a decent case for Foreman winning, but it's no clear cut one and it would be life and death

the fight with Holyfield is the one that convinced me.

it would be a brutal shoot out, like I say though I think it's Foreman still standing.

In his prime against Golota? No. Still a little
green against a veteran in Tubbs.

I think some of you are forgetting this is PRIME Bowe vs Holyfield..Holy did have the stamina to go the distance...But we all know if Holy gets him through the 3rd or 4th(which he would)..Foreman would be done.

interesting to see the bert Cooper video clips showing how much stronger Foreman is than Bowe.
Forman never took a back wards step whereas Bowe was the one backing off all fight.

Foreman Bowe would become a slugfest and Foreman would KO Bowe [Not the old George but the early 70s wrecking machine Foreman]

@crippet...nice that you liked the Copper footage..But in my opinion Foreman has his way with Foreman.

Bowe was stepping back to create punching room. He also put Cooper flat on his back with one shot. Stepping back and boxing wasnt something George Foreman was capable of doing in either career. He pretty much had to truck forward.

I think Prime Foreman scores a Ref stoppage in 6 or 7. Both guys hit the deck!

Old George loses a decision but Bowe knows he's been hit.

Stepping back and creating punching room against Bert Cooper is a far different proposition to stepping back and creating space against the wrecking machine that Foreman was

Thats right, Futch told Bowe, step back and give yourself more room to punch and once he did that Bowe laid him out.

Ali knocked him out, but that was due more to Foreman gassing than anything

The Lyle fight, Foreman wasnt what he once was mentally.

I can always post a video of Foreman and how he foguht 5 opponents in one night, you can view from there yourself that Foreman was not right mentally.

Same reason why id pick Tyson over Bowe no problem.

Look at what Tyson did to Tubbs/Golota.

Golota standing still in front of Tyson, bad move.
