A punch landed but he was already in the act of slipping when it did. :conf His own overcommitment caused him to lose his balance. That shot by itself wouldn't have.

    Round 6

Prescott circles left, then right, tossing rights to the body. Figueroa is getting bolder, maybe believing he did score a real knockdown, waving his right jab out and trying to plant a left hand on Prescott's body. Prescott is stingy about allowing him a target, turning himself to the side and circling quickly. FLUSH left hand by Figueroa leaping in, turned Prescott's head!! Figueroa quickly holds once inside. Clubbing right to the top of the head by Prescott. Figueroa tries to sell it as a rabbit punch but the ref isn't having it. Figueroa rushes in and holds, and Prescott clubs him some more.

    10-9 Prescott

Should be 60-51 Prescott. But officially 58-52

See, that left hand in the 6th by Figueroa, that was a MUCH better punch than the one he landed while Prescott was already losing his balance in the 5th. That was basically full power from Gato, and while it spun Prescott's head around it didn't really rock his world.

I'm very skeptical of that right hand in the 5th having much of anything to do with Prescott going down. :bart

...but yeah, fine, it was 10-8 to Figueroa thanks to the stupid referee. :!:

    Round 7

Prescott is circling and moving his forearms from side to side, held vertically like pillars and intercepting anything Figueroa launches on one of his wild leaping charges. Prescott tries a few chasing hooks after Figueroa had dove in and ducked back out. Exchange as Prescott keeps up the pursuit, with Figueroa ducking to slip a shot and landing his left.

Not a terrible round for Figueroa, honestly.

    Still Prescott's.
